Training

Welcome to TRANSIt Training! This training framework will be updated.

In the context of the TRANSIt summer school, the community "TraIning teachers in competence based education" has been created and is available here.

The description of the activities/workshops that took place, as well as the presentations delivered during the Summer School are available here.

Participants worked individually and/or in small teams and competence-based cross-curricular scenarios were uploaded in the TRANSIt workspace of Octopus tool, and are available in the Learning Scenarios area of the community.  Most of the scenarios apply to Social Sciences, Arts & a combination of other subject fields such as Mathematics & ICT. Some indicative ones:
•    Building a Self-Organizing Learning Environment in our classroom using a Raspberry pi
•    Collaboration within the ‘social’ media
•    Hike
•    Discovering the rules of addition of integer numbers
•    Making Bridges
•    Recycled music group
•    Electric guitar "A musical instrument made by students"

As a starting point, each participant has been invited to come to the course with an idea, or maybe an example of existing practice, called 'initial ideas'. These ideas have been uploaded as Educational Objects on the portal. These ideas related somehow to using cross-curricular approaches fostering competences in learning and education. During the summer school these initial ideas were developed further, based on insights gained through a series of workshops. by the end of the course these ideas become 'educational scenarios' .

In the context of the TRANSIt winter school 2014, the community that has been created is available here

The description of the activities/workshops that took place, as well as the presentations delivered during the course are available in the Activities area of the community.

You can have a look at participants' 'initial ideas' uploaded as Educational Objects,  as well as their transformation to Learning Scenarios that were developed with use of the ODS Authoring Tool.

Please feel free to join/register the TRANSIt community and send us your feedback!
